An address and SSN trace can reveal alias names as well as addresses where the applicant has lived, typically over the last 7-10 years. State repository and/or database searches are a valuable supplement to county courthouse searches, allowing for a broader investigation and identification of an applicants criminal past outside of the counties of residence. However, information obtained may be outdated or incomplete. A county criminal search should be conducted to verify the information and final disposition.
