Two in Three Job Hunters Put Mistakes in Their Applications

According to research recently released by HireRight, 67% of job applications contain errors or exaggerations, notably in employment history sections, but also in qualifications and membership. Managing director Steve Girdler blames these mistakes on a rushed jobseeker or an attempt to beat the competition. Mistakes in the financial services industries reached a high of 71 percent, however, decision makers are more thorough than ever, adhering to new rules from the Financial Conduct Authority.
