PHILIPPINES FINALIZES DATA PRIVACY ACT IMPLEMENTING RULES

The Philippine’s Data Privacy Act of 2012 mandated the creation of the National Privacy Commission to implement, enforce and monitor compliance with the Act and soon after its finalization, issued draft implementing rules and regulations, which will significantly impact business in the Philippines and on the IT and business process outsourcing industry.
