Michigan, Missouri, and Utah Vote to Legalize Some Form of Marijuana

Michigan voters recently chose to legalize recreational marijuana via Proposal 1, which passed with 57% approval and allows adults 21 and older to purchase, possess and/or use marijuana and marijuana edible. Employers, however, retain all rights pertaining to workplace drug testing and disciplinary procedures. With approximately 61% of voters supporting Amendment 2, Missouri voters approved the use of medicinal marijuana for those with one of nine qualifying conditions. Those in Utah with one of 12 qualifying conditions now have the right to receive a prescription for medical marijuana. And finally, voters in North Dakota, hose to deny recreational marijuana legalization with only 40% of residents voting to approve the measure.
