Global technology company Huawei hosted the International Association of Privacy Professionals’ (IAPP) inaugural live training on the Chinese mainland. According to Huawei Chief Privacy Officer John Howie, CIPP/US, CIPT, its Global Cybersecurity and Privacy Committee believed that IAPP was the best way to accomplish employee competency in the role of privacy and the protection of customer data. The training marked the first of several planned IAPP certification events that will focus on the Certified Information Privacy Manager and Certified Information Privacy Technologist designations.
