Working with Children Check and Police Check 

A “Working With Children Check” (WWCC) can be required by parents or by legislation in each state, so babysitters and nannies should be aware of requirements, as they may vary. In most cases, a WWCC is only required by babysitters working for organizations, but not when they are working independently in private homes. Parents do find peace of mind, however, when a WWCC or Blue Card is presented. Federal or State Police Checks can be performed at a local police station, such as in New South Wales and Queensland, and there are nationwide options, as well, like in Australia and Victoria.
