A lawsuit has been filed against TransUnion for the third time that alleges the credit reporting agency violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) when it mislabeled the plaintiff as a terrorist. Ahmed Al-Shaikli of Pennsylvania sought pre-approval for a mortgage, but the application was denied based on information in his credit report, which, upon review, contained false information. In addition, it is believed that the agency also sold credit reports about him with these false and inaccurate terrorist connections to 11 organizations from February 2019 through April 2020.
