The Right Questions to Ask Nanny References Before You Hire

Even if a potential nanny has passed the CV and interview test, checking references is an important step in making the hire. The nanny should be able to provide more than one reference so that the family can get a well-rounded view of his or her skills. Good references should also be fairly recent and available to speak on the phone. Important questions include things like: How long did this person work for you? What were their job duties and responsibilities? How old was the child or children they cared for? Past performance should also be evaluated.
