Remote Hiring Now and in the Future

Labour Force Survey data, released by Statistics Canada, has revealed that working from home continues to increase, as does remote hiring. The pandemic has caused businesses to rethink ways of doing business and adapting modern approaches to hiring, onboarding, and employing. Although unemployment rates in Canada are expected to fall in 2021, workplace safety should remain a top priority, and utilizing those newly discovered processes should continue. A few best practices when it comes to remote hiring in a safe way include background screening, utilizing technology, ID verification, and rechecks. And as companies continue to review policies and incorporate remote hiring into the process, leaders should consider how technology, roles, culture, and hiring the right people all come into play.
