New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Kentucky all recently passed privacy legislation aimed at safeguarding rights and regulating the handling of personal data. The New Jersey Data Protection Act is effective as of Jan. 16, 2025, New Hampshire’s “An Act to the Expectation of Privacy” will go into effect Jan. 1, 2025, and the Kentucky Consumer Data Protection Act is that last to go into effect on Jan. 1, 2026.
