Post-Employment Screening – What is it?

Although conducting a pre-employment screening is commonplace for most employers, the practice of post-employment screening is becoming more and more popular. Repeating checks can alert employers of changes in criminal activity, but also can reveal any recent convictions, which can be very important for those in positions of trust, such as the handling of large sums of money. Employers who wish to implement continued screening every two or three years should consider each position and evaluate the worst-case scenario. In addition, prioritizing the people in key positions for more in-depth checking than those who have little customer contact, and tailoring checks to specific roles can be helpful and efficient.
