On April 1, 2021, South Africa’s Information Regulator published a Guidance Note for the registration of Information Officers and Deputy Information Officers. The registration process will begin on May 1, 2021, and all parties are encouraged to use the online registration process instead of the manual process. Once registered, contact details of all IOs and DIOs will be available on the Information Regulator’s website.
