Oral Fluid Drug Testing and Virtual, Proctored Solutions – “A Dynamic Duo”

Between 2001 and 2010, the Drug Testing Advisory Board (DTAB), under the funding and direction of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) began to consider lab-based oral fluid drug testing as a possible addition to the federal workplace drug testing program. Eventually, the DTAB approved oral fluid collection and testing, publishing the oral fluid mandatory guidelines in the Federal Registrar.
