The New Hampshire House of Representatives approved a bill to legalize marijuana and sent it to the Senate, where its future is uncertain amid GOP opposition and a likely gubernatorial veto. The measure would allow adults 21 and older to possess and regulate cannabis while establishing a regulated framework. Lawmakers also passed a separate bill to let medical cannabis dispensaries convert to for-profit status, addressing challenges faced by nonprofit operators under current state law.
