Nevada – Employer Drug Testing for Marijuana

Nevada’s Assembly Bill 132 makes it illegal for employers to deny employment to those who test positive for marijuana on the pre-employment drug test. There are a few exceptions, including for those who work for the Department of Transportation (DOT), as firefighters and EMTs, truckers and others who drive as part of their job, healthcare workers, and employees who could cause harm if they performed their work impaired. The rule extends 30 days into employment.
