More than 280 employees were arrested at CVE Group Inc., a New Jersey-based company that has a national receiving center in North Texas, where the arrests took place. NBC News reported that the raid was part of an ongoing investigation of the homeland security investigations unit of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that aims to crack down on administrative immigration violations. Those arrested would be interviewed “to record any medical, sole-caregiver or other humanitarian situations.”
