The nanny, hired through Craigslist, later was found to have a history of writing bad checks and had several arrests from her early 20s. in another situation in 2014, a California nanny who was hired online later physically abused the twins she was expected to care for. Each of these situations could have been avoided had a proper background check been completed prior to hire.
