Changes involving the drug testing screening world involve the legalization of marijuana, employee protections for employees who use marijuana, increased use of remote employees, cheating on drug tests and use of alternate test methods. While most of the changes involve marijuana laws, some cities are even taking steps to decriminalize hard drugs such as cocaine, meth, heroin and other drugs.
