According to a research study titled “The State of Identity Verification,” conducted by HR.com’s Research Institute in partnership with Sterling, 80 percent of organizations indicate it is possible that they have experienced employee or job candidate identity fraud. The report revealed that many employers have concerns about employee identity verification and point to technology making it easier to fake an identity as a common reason for its increasing importance.
