The ICOs UK Information Commissioner, Elizabeth Denham, recently delivered a speech outlining a key component of the General Data Protection Regulation cybersecurity. A recent cyber risk survey found that 69% of businesses say senior management consider cyber security a high priority for their organisation, but only half of businesses have acted to identify cyber risks. According to Ken Gaines a City & Guilds Digital Industry Expert, organisations should start by implementing a good governance policy, outlining who is responsible for security, clear outlines for reporting, ensuring risk management, carrying out reviews around possible threats and determining relevant actions.
