Business Practices Critical for CRAs Seeking PBSA Accreditation

Consumer Reporting Agencies (CRAs) that wish to receive accreditation by the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA) should comply with 68 clauses in six sections of the Background Screening Agency Accreditation Program (BSAAP). This includes Information Security, Legal and Compliance, Client Education, Researcher, and Data Standards, Verification Services Standards, and Business Practices. A few clauses for “Section 6: Business Practices” include Background Checks for CRA Personnel Charged with Enforcement of Policy; Changing Law and Regulation; Insurance; and Client Authentication.
