New data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) demonstrates a rising death rate from excessive alcohol. Roughly twice as many men die from excessive alcohol use, but the death rate rose faster among women. The pandemic likely played a part in the increased rate of alcohol-related deaths.
