More and more background screening companies are offering online and social media searches as part of their suite of products, but it is important for employers to consider Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requirements or standards set by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Real-time monitoring allows companies to screen current employees for warning signs of illegal or other concerning behavior. And in response to the demand for workers in a tight labor market, those with criminal records now are being considered for positions in places like call centers, construction, health care, manufacturing, retail and transportation and warehousing.
