White Paper on Modernizing Privacy Protection in Ontario

On June 17, the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services released a white paper outlining a series of proposals to modernize privacy protection for Ontarians with respect to the private sector, which is currently governed by the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. The MGCS invites organizations, impacted stakeholders and the general public to submit comments on the proposals in the white paper by September 3, 2021.
