The Fallout Continues: Operation Nightingale Enters Phase II as States Purge Fake Credentials

The federal investigation known as Operation Nightingale has entered a second phase, targeting a massive fake-nursing-diploma scheme. Authorities say more than 7,600 fraudulent diplomas were sold by several Florida nursing schools, allowing buyers to take licensing exams and obtain nursing jobs without completing required training. Federal prosecutors are pursuing additional charges against school operators, while state nursing boards are revoking licenses, flagging offenders in national databases, and tightening credential verification to protect patient safety.
