A study that was published in Clinical Toxicology has shown that the number of cases related to tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) reported to the US Poison Control Center has increased by 89.1 percent between 2021 and 2022. For the study, researchers investigated the characteristics of exposures to delta-8, delta-9, and delta-10 tetrahydrocannabinol, as well as tetrahydrocannabinol-O acetate, as reported to the centers between 2021 and 2022. These products can be toxic, with more than a third of cases experiencing a serious medical outcome.
