Looking Forward to GDPR Enforcement

New EU enforcement procedures under Regulation (EU) 2025/2518 are designed to make enforcement of the General Data Protection Regulation more efficient and consistent. The rules, which begin applying to actions opened after April 2, 2027, set deadlines for resolving complaints, require detailed information for admissibility, allow early resolution of stopped violations, and mandate cooperation among EU data protection authorities with shared evidence access. Companies should expect quicker, more structured GDPR investigations.
