How the Criminal Justice System is Failing Those Who Paid Their Dues

The stigma of being a criminal makes it incredibly difficult to reenter society, with people of color being judged more harshly than others. And according to former inmate Teresa Hodge, who is the co-founder and Director of Strategy and Innovation at R3 Score Technologies, nothing can remove the judgment and discrimination that comes with a past prison sentence. Hodge believes that the new risk models considered by bankers, employers, landlords, and universities could help them assess data to determine risk and readiness, and open up fair opportunities for all.
