How Can Employers Navigate New State Drug Testing Restrictions?

Marijuana is being legalized for recreational and medicinal purposes all across the country, leaving employers to find ways to keep their employees safe and productive while staying compliant with changing laws. Employers should consider California Assembly Bill 2188 and Washington Senate Bill 5123, both of which go into effect Jan. 1 and focus on the protection of an employee’s right to use marijuana legally while away from the workplace.
