Drug testing of military service personnel takes place through various methods, including random testing, probable cause, medical testing, consent, and by order of the commander. There are cutoff levels for each of the specific substances (including cannabinoids) for which the military tests; however, CBD typically does not show up on a standard drug test for the military or any other workplace. If a military service member does test positive for CBD, they may face disciplinary action or even discharge from the military.
