New regulations regarding AI employment discrimination were approved by the California Civil Rights Council on June 27, 2025. The regulations define automated-decision systems, prohibit ads that discriminate based on protected characteristics and mandates anti-bias testing, and states that employment records related to ADS must be stored for four years.
