Those who are interested should be prepared for a background check that complies with federal regulations by checking to see what details are included ahead of time to correct any mistakes. The driving record also will be looked at and driving violations may or may not be included. Before leaving off outdated violations, however, it is best to know in advance what will be included. Be sure the application is consistent with the driving record by requesting a copy of the Motor Vehicle Report from the agency that provided the CDL.
