W. Barry Nixon, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, serves as COO, PreemploymentDirectory.com. He is recognized as one of the leading experts on background screening worldwide. Prior to founding the PreemploymentDirectory.com, Mr. Nixon studied ‘General Management’ in the Executive Management Program, University of Hawaii. He earned a masters degree in Human Resource Development from the New School University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University. Mr. Nixon has also completed the Advanced Human Resource Management program of Babson College, as well as the certification programs in Organization Development from National Training Laboratories, Systems Thinking from MIT, the highly acclaimed “Creating Competitive Advantage through Human Resources,” program from the University of Michigan’s School of Industrial Relations and is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). He has earned certifications in Workplace Security, P.O.S.T. Background Screening and Safe Hiring. In addition, he serves as Co-Chair of the International Committee for the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS).
