U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services rolled out the E‑Verify “Status Change Report” on June 20, 2025, letting employers detect revoked Employment Authorization Documents (EADs), and added a “Revoked Document Number” field on July 15. Employers must compare that number with the EAD used for Form I‑9, and if they match, promptly reverify the employee using Form I‑9 Supplement B. Green card holders and certain visa holders (e.g., H‑1B) are exempt because they don’t require an EAD.
