Melissa Sorenson joined PBSA in 2013 as the association’s first dedicated Executive Director. Prior to joining PBSA, Melissa volunteered with PBSA in committees, at conferences, and on the Board while working at Verifications, Inc. (acquired by FADV in 2012) in a compliance and legal role.
As Executive Director, Sorenson responds to media inquiries, oversees the association’s finances, content creation, 5 global conferences annually, and ensures all staff and volunteer services align with PBSA’s strategic plan and mission.
Melissa holds a law degree from William Mitchell, received her bachelor’s degree, Summa Cum Laude, from Minnesota State University, Mankato and is admitted to the Minnesota bar.
