How long have you been in the background check industry, and what led you to join the industry?

I was introduced to the industry in 1994 from one of the major credit bureaus (back
then there were 5), when I was the National Sales Manager for ISS. They asked
if we could automate the process which we created IRIS, “Investigative Reporting
Information System”. Prior to that directly out of college, I was involved with Credit
reporting and Drug testing communication systems from 1986.

Any important announcements about products or services or future direction you would like to talk about? 

Epic is expanding the EZy family in 2025 with EZyTrack and EZyScan utilizing AI & RPA. Another AI driven solution includes AuthenicID for authentication, is also a new offering in 2025. We’re proud to be providing to resellers an authentication product (that has been in development since 2010) to companies in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

If you had a Crystal Ball and could look into the future, what do you see happening in the background screening industry 10 years from now?

10 Years is an infinity within an industry that embraces technology but with AI, RPA, & whats coming soon, we will be processing the most comprehensive legally compliant reports as efficiently as possible. I see a viable industry for those who embrace collaborations.

If you could meet anyone, regardless of whether the person is alive or not, who would you want to meet and why? 

Jesus. I wish I could list all the why’s (contact me and we will chat). I would prefer a time in the distant future.
