As a decision is not available regarding the Thai Food and Drug Administration promulgation of its medical cannabis application guidelines, the Thai Ministry of Public Health has issued several notifications to clarify the 2019 amendment to the Narcotics Act that initially paved the way for cannabis liberalization in the kingdom. This continued liberalization of the restrictions on substances formerly deemed narcotic is another strong indication of Thailand’s push to expand its medicinal and therapeutic applications in line with promising pharmacological developments.
