A woman in Greater Victoria, Charrybelle Talaue, was sentenced to 115 days in jail after pleading guilty to fraud, identity fraud, and forgery for posing as a registered nurse using fake credentials to secure healthcare jobs across the Capital Regional District. Police say she worked under multiple aliases starting in late 2023 and fled to the U.S. before being arrested in Idaho and returning to Canada to face charges.
