The issues mainly involve inflated job experience, unverifiable employment history, and inaccurate resume information. Across industries, employment checks showed the highest mismatch rates, followed by address and education verification. The findings emphasize the need for stronger background-verification processes, as hiring inaccuracies can create compliance risks, operational disruptions, and reputational damage for companies in regulated sectors like pharma.
