A 31-year-old man in Seattle is accused of posing as a U.S. Postal Service carrier, handing a homeowner an envelope and demanding Bitcoin before forcing his way into their Phinney Ridge house on Feb. 20. Police say he assaulted the homeowner and violently strangled the wife when she intervened. Identified as Ian Alexander Blair, he’s charged with burglary, extortion, criminal impersonation, and assault, and is being held on $1 million bail.
