Fake Degrees Worry Employers as Remote Hiring Scales Up       

As hybrid and remote hiring grows, traditional one-time background checks are increasingly seen as inadequate, with 74% of employers citing fake degrees and forged documents as their top concern. A Genius HRTech report also found 77% of respondents worry about identity fraud from generative AI-driven deepfakes and resumes. Many HR professionals now favor continuous verification over one-off checks, while cross-border compliance remains a key challenge.
