W. Barry Nixon, SPHR, COO, PreemploymentDirectory.com is recognized as one of the leading experts on background screening worldwide. It is used by companies worldwide to find resources and information on background screening.
Prior to founding PreemploymentDirectory.com, Mr. Nixon studied ‘General Management’ in the Executive Management Program, at the University of Hawaii. He earned a master’s degree in Human Resource Development from the New School University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University. Mr. Nixon has also completed the Advanced Human Resource Management program of Babson College, as well as the certification programs in Organization Development from National Training Laboratories, Systems Thinking from MIT, the highly acclaimed “Creating Competitive Advantage through Human Resources,” program from the University of Michigan’s School of Industrial Relations and is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). He has earned certifications in Workplace Security, P.O.S.T. Background Screening, and Safe Hiring. In addition, he serves as Co-Chair of the International Committee for the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS).
His clients include many of the top background screening firms in the world. He also teaches human resource management and recruiting & selection courses at several universities.
